Helpful care tips
Renault Sandero 2014 fuse box diagram
Some basic tips:
- Parts are purchased in advance individually or in sets, always from original brands and in trusted stores.
- The insulation of wires and cables, as well as contact connections in mounting blocks, are periodically inspected. If the integrity of the insulation is compromised and the contacts are loose, the wiring and contact blocks should be replaced.
- The module covers under the hood are periodically opened to check for moisture and dried to prevent short circuits.
It is advisable to trust the performance of operations 2 and 3 to professionals in specialized auto repair shops during scheduled technical inspections, when changing the oil or repairing other components of the car.

Replacement features
To replace burned-out disposable circuit breakers, parts with the same current and voltage ratings should be prepared. As a temporary solution, it is possible to install an element of a higher rating in order to replace it with the required one in the near future. It is strictly not recommended to replace the fuse with a coin or twisted wire.
To check the integrity of the fuses in the interior module, you need to open the cover by turning the fixing screw and pull it out. On the inside of the cover there is explanatory information, including markings and pinouts.
First you should look for the burnt part visually. There may be traces of burning on it. If the housings are made of high-quality plastic, then there will be no traces of combustion and the elements must be removed one by one with tweezers or tongs.
The car accessories market offers products integrated with a high-impedance light bulb or LED, which light up and glow after the fusible link burns out, which makes it much easier to find the faulty part. The parts in the engine compartment module are checked and changed in the same way.
In some cases, 60 and 80 A fuses are installed separately in the power module, located in the engine compartment and closed with a snap-on plastic cover. They are attached to the terminal pads with nuts or bolts, which ensures a reliable connection without chatter and melting of housings and contacts. When replacing, the cover snaps off, the bolts or nuts are unscrewed, the burnt jumper is removed, and a new one is installed in its place. The fasteners are screwed in, the lid is put in place and snapped into place.
Where to look for a node
It should be noted that in order to find the main fuse block on the UAZ Patriot, you do not need to go under the hood . In a domestic SUV, the device is located inside the cabin, next to the driver’s left knee.
There you will see a cover behind which the element is located. Removing the cover is quite easy - you just need to turn the lock to the side.
There is also one more mounting block. It is located under the hood, on the left side of the mudguards. The lid here opens in the same way as in the interior unit.
UAZ Patriot starter does not work
We went to visit friends in Belebey. It’s time to go back, I get out, sit down as usual, the key is in the first position, the fuel pump is humming. Secondly, position and... silence. The starter seems to be missing. The retractor does not click...
In general, a similar problem has appeared since the purchase of the car. But it was impossible to diagnose. It was enough to open the plug under the steering wheel on the panel, and the problem disappeared!
This time it didn't help. I moved the wiring under the panel. Did not help. I've read a lot that this problem happens because of the contacts in the fuse box in the engine compartment. I moved it, the problem did not go away.
Well, I think we need to look at the fuse and starter relay. The fuse is intact. Relay too. In the second position of the key, current flows to the starter from the starter relay, but does not reach the starter. Judging by the outgoing wire, it comes from the relay from the engine compartment, goes into the interior under the dashboard, and then goes to the engine behind the heater. I didn’t really want to mess around in the cold, and it was time to go. It's getting dark.
I ran the wire directly from the starter relay to the retractor. The engine started with half a turn. I was very glad that I carried some wires with me in case the time line was reset.
In the coming days we will need to find the problem. There is a suspicion that when installing the alarm, they installed a relay on this wire so that the engine would not start if the alarm was not turned off. I will watch. Just need to get into the tidy and set the cruise control.
It is difficult to imagine a fully functional car that does not have a starter. It is a compact electric motor that runs on direct current from a battery. It is necessary to start the engine when the driver turns the key in the ignition. In this article we will look at the main features of the UAZ Patriot starter with the ZMZ 409 engine: its design, the replacement process.
Perform periodic maintenance work on the starter:
1. Check the condition of the clamps, making sure they are not dirty or loosened. 2. Remove the protective casing and inspect the collector, correct any faults if necessary. 3. Open cover 13 (see first picture) from the collector side, inspect and, if necessary, clean the contact surfaces, then blow with compressed air. 4. If necessary, tighten the starter housing pinch bolts. 5. Check the fastening of the starter to the clutch housing. 6. When operating the vehicle in difficult conditions, remove the starter to clean the drive and freewheel from dirt.
