The official manufacturer of the LADA Vesta car, AvtoVAZ, stated that already in the middle or end of 2021, the so-called “creeping mode” will be added to all models with AMT (automated transmission).
To implement such a mode, the manufacturer needs to flash the gearbox according to algorithm No. 1. Not long ago, a video appeared on the Internet, where it is clearly visible how a gearbox with a “creeping mode” works.
The operating algorithm of the updated gearbox will be extremely similar to the operating principle of an automatic transmission (automatic transmission). To start the mode, the driver must move the selector to position R or A. Then the brake pedal should be released and the car begins to roll at idle without consuming fuel.
Where did the software come from?
There are 2 guesses about how this program will reach the masses:
- Stolen from the factory.
- AvtoVAZ itself leaked it to people.
The latter way is a normal world practice; many automakers do this. This allows you to save time and resources on testing. Valuable information about the operation of the firmware can be obtained from forums on the Internet. This is a fast and cheap way to obtain data.
AMT 3.0 firmware was originally written for the Lada X-Ray car, which currently comes with version 1.0. Only factory programmers can change it. Therefore, the software for robot 3.0 is the same for everyone.
LADA VESTA 1.8 AMT robot firmware up to AMT 3.0 (+ creeping mode) and engine chip tuning
Chiptuning LADA VESTA 1.8 and AMT 3.0 firmware in Yekaterinburg
Lada VESTA 1.8 AMT is flashed in Yekaterinburg!
The owner asked, first of all, to get rid of the well-known problems with the car jerking during acceleration, jerking, dives and dips, as well as sluggish dynamics in general. Let's do it in Yekaterinburg!
Electronic engine control unit ITELMA M86i
(M86i).
We do the diagnostics and see that:
✅ Software I785VAA1
(8450032549) is current.
✅ We did chip tuning from Chelyab
(this calibrator himself is the owner of VESTA 1.8 on AMT).
Effect of the firmware: ✅ Elastic engine operation throughout the entire speed range. Even from the very bottom, acceleration has been noticeably improved. ✅ Turning on the air conditioner no longer causes loss of traction. There may be some (not significant) reduction in fuel consumption with a quiet driving style.
The firmware is written through the car's ECU connector and does not require its removal (let alone opening it). First, the backup copy of the factory software is read, and then the tuning software is written. The whole process takes no more than 30 minutes.
✅
And most importantly, the car drives SMOOTHLY and comfortably.
Of course, there will be no “turbo” effect, but nevertheless, the difference BEFORE and AFTER the procedure is like HEAVEN and EARTH, both in the smoothness of the car and in terms of dynamic characteristics in general.
✅ We also updated the robot AMT 3.0 (AMT 3.0)
, in order to improve the gear shift algorithm, reduce gear shift time, make it less dull, and most importantly, add the so-called “creeping” mode and “sport” mode.
The whole process lasts about 30 minutes. First, the native firmware is read from the box, saved (so that you can always roll back to it), and then the new AMT 3.0 software is written. The software was the oldest UAC5CB054040 (UACXXB054000 V17) recorded UACXXC600000 (ZACXXC060000 V17.06.01).
— “Crawling” mode.
Now the car starts moving as soon as you release the brake pedal. The automatic system picks up the revs a little and the car begins to roll in 1st gear at a speed of 5-7 km/h.
- “Sport mode”.
It is turned on by moving the selector knob to position M (without changing gears) - the “A” mode indication on the panel continues to light up. The switching point immediately moves up 500-700 rpm. The box holds the gear during acceleration. It’s especially noticeable “at the top” - at a speed of 90, 4th is held - there is always a reserve of traction under the pedal. In general, it doesn’t become a car, but the car starts to drive noticeably more dynamically.
— “Winter mode” — according to the documentation, it should ensure starting in second gear and the stabilization system will not choke the engine when slipping.
In addition, it changes gears noticeably (by a third) faster. The gap between first and second gears has disappeared, the car feels “spiritier” - there is no “prolonged” acceleration with constant acceleration.
