The malfunction is easy to notice even without diagnostic equipment, because the engine simply will not start. Indicators from the sensor normally vary in the range from 800 to 840 rpm.
  3. Limit of uneven crankshaft rotation (LUMS_W). This figure should not exceed 4 rpm. Otherwise, you can be sure that there are misfires in the cylinders. With such a malfunction, it’s time to check the spark plugs and high voltage wires.
  4. Ignition timing (UOZ). Data from several sensors are combined into one indicator and calculated by the electronic control unit. The value varies from 6 to 15.

Error P0504 stands for “brake pedal sensor misalignment.”

For a more detailed check of the vehicle's performance, scanners and computers are used. They are connected to the diagnostic electrical connector (socket) located on the standard panel. Error P0441

Owners of Lada Kalina often note that during the operation of the car, error P0441 appears, indicating that the gasoline vapor purge system is not operating correctly (the air flow differs from the norm). The cause of this malfunction may be:

  • inoperative adsorber valve;
  • clogging of the air line from the control unit to the air filter;
  • air leakage through connecting pipes.

What should not be immediately considered is the line from the gas tank to the adsorber; here, a breakdown does not in any way affect the readings of the computer or diagnostic scanner. Still, most often Evap-Solenoid fails; this is a characteristic “disease” on Kalina.

If the EVAP valve stops functioning normally, it is not at all necessary that the engine will lose power, the fuel pump will fail, and so on. Mainly due to problems with the control gear, exhaust toxicity increases, and the Check Engine on the dashboard periodically lights up. There are car owners who do not pay attention to the diagnostic warning light, continuing to operate the car, but do not experience any great inconvenience. And most often in such a case, gasoline consumption does not exceed the norm, the engine starts normally, and no serious problems occur in the fuel system.

Diagnosis of Kalina

There are two ways to determine malfunctions in the Lada Kalina engine management system. Through self-diagnosis, as well as testing using a computer and a special adapter. The first option is simpler, but less accurate. Computer diagnostics of a car allows you to get a detailed answer about the causes of malfunctions.

Self-diagnosis

This procedure is performed using the dashboard inside the car:

  1. The vehicle's ignition must be turned off. The daily mileage reset button on the control panel is clicked. While holding this key, you need to turn the key in the lock to turn on the ignition.
  2. The control panel automatically enters self-diagnosis mode. All component positions and the LED indicator will light up on its screen. The arrows on the sensors will begin to move from the minimum value to the maximum.

  2. USB cable for connecting to the diagnostic connector.

For computer diagnostics of a Lada Kalina car, you need to find the connector; it is located in front of the gear lever, in the compartment above the cigarette lighter.

The verification procedure is carried out as follows:

  1. Testing software is installed on the computer.
  2. A plastic cover opens in front of the gear lever, and underneath it is an OBD-2 or K-Line output.
  3. The next step is to connect the wire to the block. One end of it is connected to the connector, and the other to the computer.
