If only for this reason, there were much more positive reviews about the Lada Priora hatchback than about its predecessor.
Lighting technology and a spoiler built into the trunk lid have become more modern. It was also possible to improve technologies for assembling mechanisms and components, which halved the gaps between body elements. As experts noted, in general, the design of the entire car went back to the appearance of the “ten”, which was created back in the 80s in accordance with the trend of biodesign that was fashionable at that time.
Italian specialists were involved in the development of the interior. An instrument panel with a trip computer, an armrest with niches for small items, and a silver console trim with an unusual oval-shaped clock appeared. I bought a Priora on 02/22/08. The car performed excellently, especially in winter it’s hot in the cabin, I had to drive even at minus 45. I’m completely satisfied with the engine, it gives out everything on the speedometer. During the entire period of operation, not counting oil changes, I replaced the brake pads, tires, and belt generator and timing belt and lastly at 102.300 the support bearing on the right side. I count the mileage as 103,565 km. This is a penny. Almost immediately I installed gas and engine heating. What I don’t like is that we don’t want to do sound insulation, in my opinion there is one, but very big drawback.

Killer of foreign cars I have been a keen fan of Prior since 2007. Then for the first time I saw with my own eyes a black sedan with alloy wheels and was GONE!!! I got sick with the Priora after they gave me a ride, or rather, first they gave me a ride, and then I gave it to him.

History of creation
In 2006, AvtoVAZ applied to participate in the WTCC, concluding a contract with the German company M Tech. Moscow businessman and racer Viktor Shapovalov, based on the City Motorsport team, created the “stable” Russian Bears Motosport (Russian Bears), which later became part of the Lada Sport factory team. In 2008, Megan Trophy winner Dutchman Jaap van Lagen and nine-time Russian karting champion Kirill Ladygin were invited to join Shapovalov’s team. In 2009, James Thompson joined the team, replacing Shapovalov, who had left as manager.

The Opel C20XE engine with a cast iron cylinder block was produced from 1990 to 1998, but stayed in motorsport due to its reliability - Chevrolet and Lada use it in the WTCC. Hewland manual transmission - cam, sequential. Its six stages are “recruited” for each race from twenty homologated pairs of gears that can be replaced. But only one main gear is allowed.

- "Norma". Essentially, this is the same standard for which one or more items of equipment are set: air conditioning, audio radio with speakers, ABS BAS, child seat mounts, heated front seats and windshield;
- “Lux” is the most rich in functionality. It has everything that the “norm” has, and in addition: side airbags, an airbag for the front passenger, rear and front electric windows, a navigator, a multimedia system, cruise control, parking sensors, fog lights, a rain sensor, a climate system, alloy wheels, heated front seats;
- “Sport” is a special package that increases the “sports” component. This is an aerodynamic body kit: a pronounced bumper with a spoiler, side sills, a diffuser rear bumper, and a wing on the trunk lid. The wheels with narrow profile tires are also different. Ground clearance, curb weight (up to 1080 kg) and maximum weight (up to 1500 kg) have been reduced. The standard equipment of the Lada Priora may seem meager to some, but in comparison with the VAZ 2110 model that preceded the appearance of the Priora, changes are obvious. Fans of this car change the struts, install widened rims and lower the “belly” in such a way that, in combination with a body kit, makes the Priora more sporty and even somewhat formidable. The buyer has a choice of hatchback, sedan and station wagon.
The car behaves well on the roads, a fairly strong suspension allows you to easily pass through potholes and speed bumps, although it is better not to drive it off-road, like any other car that is valued and taken care of.

Suspension characteristics
The Priora's chassis was designed for smooth driving over bumps and obstacles, as well as driving along a country road. Of course, the VAZ-2170 is not an SUV, but it can easily go through many places. The front part of the suspension is independent, and the rear part is semi-independent, which makes the car softer.
Many owners almost immediately replace the anti-roll bar arms along with the struts with a sports kit - so that the car does not wobble when making a sharp turn. Telescopic shock absorbers consistently dampen vibrations when passing obstacles, so there will be no problems with it. VAZ-2170 is a front-wheel drive car.
